Impact

Through the power of collective impact, we create meaningful and long-lasting solutions that positively affect the lives of our students. Each of our partnerships has their roots in College Success Foundation and focuses on important initiatives that reach statewide and beyond.

College Success Foundation

CSF Scholars finish high school, directly enroll in and graduate from college at higher rates than other low-income students. We do everything in our power to help our students succeed.

  • 95% of CSF Scholars in Washington state graduate from high school.1
  • 61% of CSF Scholars in Washington state directly enrolled in college vs. 37% of low-income students in Washington state.2
  • 74% of CSF Scholars in Washington state who started college in fall 2020 persisted to fall 2021 vs. 72% of all students in Washington state, regardless of family income.3
  • 59% of CSF Scholars in Washington state graduate from college vs. 52% of low-income students who start college nationally.4
  • 13,300+ CSF Scholars have graduated from college.

Washington College Access Network

  • WCAN partners with school districts, state agencies, college access providers, post-secondary institutions and community based organizations in Washington state to support College Bound awareness and provide FAFSA/WASFA information and guidance.
  • Since program inception, more than 300,000 students have been enrolled in the College Bound program.
  • We partner nationally with the National College Attainment Network (NCAN).

Washington Passport Network

  • In the 2021-2022 academic year, 943 students were served through the Passport to Careers program.
  • Since the inception of the program in 2008, 7,460 students have been served.
  • In 2018, the Passport program expanded its definition of eligible students to include unaccompanied homeless youth, unaccompanied refugee minors, and young people in tribal foster care, in addition to young people experiencing state foster care.
  • In the same year, the Passport program expanded to support eligible students pursuing job training through a pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship program, in addition to those attending a 2 or 4-year college.
    • In the 2021-2022 academic year, 32 students participated in the Passport to Apprenticeship pathway, receiving support for enrolling in a registered apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship. 
  • The Washington Passport Network is a statewide collective impact initiative committed to supporting students from foster care, students experiencing unaccompanied homelessness, and the adult professionals they rely on. College Success Foundation provides capacity building to WPN members. The network has grown from 300 to over 700 members between 2018-2022.

MENTOR Washington

  • Nearly 100 local program partners across Washington state engaged 23,000 youth in mentoring relationships.
